Welcome to Newmerica! On a brisk Spring morning, as the sun began to erase the dew that glistened on freshly cut grass, a young woman began to scream. The sounds of pain and confusion filled the air. Windows were breaking, dogs were barking, and her Buick wouldn’t start. The woman knew something had to be done, and soon. She struggled to make her way back into the house, reached for the rotary dial phone, and slowly turned the numbers. A few blocks away a phone rang, and it wasn’t long after that help arrived. After more that 14 hours of labor, I was born. That lady was my mother and that Buick would later be mine.
I attended public schools in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. Which means two things: I had a Mullet, and could read at a 7th grade level. I was a horrible student. I wasn’t stupid, I was hyperactive and couldn’t focus. Which can still be said today. Through medication, hard-work, and prayer I finished college in 1998.
I was born in Houston, Texas. Well, Pasadena actually. That is the place where John Travolta and that other broad filmed Urban Cowboy. Gilley’s burned down years ago, but I still cling to the memories. Actually if you watch the Urban Cowboy movie, then watch Fox’s King of the Hill, you will have a good idea of my hometown.
I enjoy some of the finer things in life. Things like wrestling, Nascar, steaks, cold beer, cheap women, cheap beer, cold women, the internet, music, television, music television, Monday Night Football, NBA, PGA, MLB, and AARP. Yes, AARP. You will see me at bars, concerts, barbeques, car shows, gun shows, and at church. I love Jesus, my family, my country, Uma Thurman, Willie Nelson, and Vince McMahon. Did I mention Nascar?
Finally, I am not trying to act tough, but if it came down to fisticuffs– I could beat the crap out of Clay Aiken.
