This is one of the sweetest things I have seen in a very long time! You can’t get any better than these kids spreading love and joy just by giving people hugs!! Truly inspirational, and put a smile on my face!

How cool!!!! It’s nice to see that there are still people that have some humor & love in their heart. It just gives you the warm & fuzzy. I have to give this kid a lot of credit to do something like this at his age. You certainly don’t see this everyday…….
It was also nice to see the amount of males that weren’t ashamed to give/get a hug from another male.

Hey its Myles and id just like to thank you so much. You were the first person to give me a hug and you really showed me that the world around us isent to bad after all :) thank you, Myles

We’re very proud of our grandson. He had a great idea and decided to follow through with it. What a great way to spread good will. Initially people are very shy but they’re suprised how much enjoyment they receive from a simple hug.

It’s a great way to spread some smiles. It takes a special person to put yourself out there. He’ll probably leave his mark on the world someday.

It’s truly great to see what people can think of and follow through with! Myles- you brought tears to my eyes! I hope you know that those little hugs show a lot of compassion and good will! You are awesome!

    Jeremy,
I was just listening to you (Morning Coffee Club) on the way to dropping my kids off to school. What an inspiration for Myles and (his friend) to put himself out there and brighten the day of those participating in the days festivities. I felt compelled to THANK YOU AND MYLES for brightening this listeners day. A note to Myles….. Keep spreading your cheer and love. YOU DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Way to go Myles!. It doesn’t surprise me that he would do this….he’s a great & thoughtful kid. (Just like his Grandma Barb & you to Mark!!!) Spread those hugs up at camp!!!

  9. Fran Says:

This is sweet.Did he get a reason as to why he had to stop? It’s sad that a person can’t do something good.Would a fight have been better?

I had wanted to comment after hearing this on the radio a few days ago. I was in a wedding last Saturday and the bride wanted to take pictures at the Lilac Festival. We saw Myles while we were there taking pictures and the bride even gave him a hug! I was bummed that wasn’t in the video, but regardless, it made for a lot of smiles!

  11. Myles Ott Says:

I’m very sorry the wedding was not in the video, we ran out of memory on the camera. I’m sincerely sorry (Beth).

As for why we were forced to stop, a police officer approached Jim and I, and told us we need to stop. We politely asked why and he proceeded to show us his badge and told us that he would “bring us downtown” as he said that, a person walking by, ran up and looked at us and said this officer is in need for a hug, which made the officer more mad to the point that he grabbed the sign but I told him I’d put it away as long as he didn’t take it. His reason which we finally received from him, was that we “did not have a venders premit” (Fran).

I love it when I see this kind of love spread around. It almost makes me want to make a sign and do it myself. Both of the boys really put a smile on a lot of peoples faces.

I am so proud of these kids. Hugs make everyone feel better. This video brought tears to my eyes. I wonder how many people who got hugs had their lives changed in an instant. Not one person did not smile after getting hugged. Job well done. Wish I could have been there and gotten one of the hugs! Shame on that police officer!!!!

  14. Barb Says:

I just saw the video. I couldn’t agree more with the first person who posted. Great job! I’m sorry someone complained and they made you stop. It just goes to show that even when there’s this much good, someone can’t stand to see people happy. They are, I’m guessing, one of the reasons you felt the need to do this. Carry on!!!!!

  15. Shari Says:

Shame on that cop! I agree, he was in need of a hug! And why need a vendor’s permit if you’re not selling anything! God bless those boys!
